Practicing instrument procedures at home
A suitable simulator can be useful for reviewing instrument procedures with guidance from your instructor. The original page recommended ELITE as an independent suggestion, not a paid advertisement. Check current products and capabilities with the manufacturer.
Home practice and creditable instrument training are different matters; ask your instructor what can be credited toward your training requirements.

I am a 95' Embry Riddle Grad and got my single multi engine Private Instrument back in the early 90's and decided to complete my CFI, CFII and MEI ratings. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I buy the CFI edition or the IFR edition for CFII?
Choose the IFR / Instrument Rating edition for the Instrument Flight Instructor and Instrument Ground Instructor tests listed here. The separate CFI edition contains a different group of instructor tests and includes FOI.
Is FOI included in the IFR test bank?
FOI is offered through the Flight/Ground Instructor test bank and the separate FOI-only option. If your certificate path requires FOI, review those FOI choices separately.
Does one purchase cover every platform?
GroundSchool is licensed separately for each platform. A Windows purchase does not include the Mac, iPhone/iPad, or Android app. GroundSchool Audio is also a separate product. Review the purchase terms for the version you choose.
Are content updates included?
Free lifetime content updates are included for your purchased app test bank. Use the update feature provided in your version of GroundSchool and consult the current product terms for platform-specific details.
