Thrust
Thrust | | The driving force of a propeller in the line of its shaft or the forward force produced in reaction to the gases expelled rearward from a jet or rocket engine. Opposite of DRAG. | source: FAA Aerosense Glossary |
| | The force which imparts a change in the velocity of a mass. This force is measured in pounds but has no element of time or rate. A propeller produces its thrust by accelerating a large mass of air by a relatively small amount.
