Safelog is a powerful, flexible electronic pilot logbook used every day by thousands of pilots in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Some pilots use Safelog as their only pilot logbook, while others use it alongside a traditional paper logbook. Either way, Safelog is designed to adapt to the way you fly and keep records.
Safelog is highly customizable and supports the needs of pilots operating under major regulatory systems around the world, including FAA requirements in the United States, EASA requirements in Europe, CASA requirements in Australia, Transport Canada, and many others.
One of Safelog's greatest strengths is that it is not tied to a single device or operating system.
Many electronic logbooks are built primarily around one or two platforms. Safelog takes a different approach. It is an open, flexible, and extensible system with dedicated clients available for:
- Microsoft Windows PCs
- Apple Macs
- iPhone and iPad
- Android phones and tablets
Safelog also includes the web-based SafelogWeb.com portal, which you can access from virtually any modern device with a web browser.
That can be especially useful when you are away from your own computer. For example, you can access your logbook from a computer at a hotel, flight school, FBO, or other location where you would not normally be able to install your own software.
With Safelog's synchronization system, your electronic logbook data can be available across all of your Safelog devices and platforms.
Enter or update your information on one device, synchronize, and that data can then be made available on your other Safelog installations as well.
Safelog users are welcome to use any or all of the available Safelog client programs. Your logbook can synchronize among as many supported devices and platforms as you choose.
This provides several important advantages:
-
Availability: Your logbook is not confined to a single computer, phone, or tablet.
-
Redundancy: Using Safelog across multiple devices gives you additional ways to access your records.
-
Flexibility: Use the device that makes the most sense at the moment, whether that is a desktop computer at home, a laptop while traveling, or your phone at the airport.
-
Long-term portability: You are not locked into relying on one particular type of hardware or operating system for your pilot logbook.
Once you have a Safelog subscription, there are no additional synchronization or per-device usage fees. Simply install the appropriate Safelog app or software on a supported device, sign in with your Safelog username and password, synchronize your data, and you can begin using your logbook there.
You can use a single Safelog client as your complete electronic logbook, or use Safelog across several different devices and platforms for maximum convenience.
The choice is entirely yours. Safelog is designed to keep your pilot logbook available where you need it, on the devices you prefer to use.
