FAQ > Safelog Pilot Logbook
Change Name/Info on logbook cover?

To change your address (postal address, email address, or both), phone number, company name, etc as shown in Safelog or our other products, please use our user profile information change wizard to update your personal info. Using this wizard is the easiest, fastest, and most secure way to change your info.

Click here for the profile information change wizard.

Should the wizard not work for you. we may be able to change your info based on a written request via this helpdesk.

However, please understand that the security and confidentiality of your account and its associated data is paramount to us, as it should be to you. As such, we need to be absolutely, beyond any even slight reasonable doubt, be sure that you are who you say you are should you wish to change information.

If the automated 'wizard' system above does not work for you for whatever reason, please instead provide us via our helpdesk a polite, specific, and detailed request with 'more than sufficient' and 'beyond reasonable doubt' information that you are who you claim to be. There is no single magic formula for this, but it can include the following:

  • A clear statement of who you are, including any physical addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers that we might have on record for you. The more you can provide, the better.
  • Some sense of your purchase history with us as best as you can remember it, ideally with dates and order numbers. This need not be exact, but, of course, the more you can provide the better your case.-
  • If you are a user of our Safelog eLogbook system or any other app which internally contains information that only the real account holder might know, you can give us some sense of your flight history, recent flights, etc.

In short, please take a few minutes to really convince us that you really are who you say you are.

If we deem the information you provide to be insufficient, we may at our discretion ask you for yet more info. However, it is really in everybody's interest if you take the time to provide us with sufficient information the first time around. At our discretion of our account security team policy, if it appears to us that your answers are demurring or evasive or possibly otherwise suggest 'social engineering' of our systems and processes or there we feel that there is even a slight possibility that you are not who you say you are, we may have little choice but to ask for notarized copies of identification documents to be sent to us to confirm your identity and request. Obviously neither we nor you want it to come to that, but the security and confidentiality of our legitimate user data must be paramount.

Thank you for your kind understanding.
